Gilera is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1909 by Giuseppe Gilera in Arcore. It produced a wide range of motorcycles and scooters and became renowned for its mid-20th-century Grand Prix racing success. The marque was acquired by the Piaggio Group in 1969 and has since been maintained within that group, appearing on sportier two-wheeler models.
