Buell is an American motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1983 by engineer Erik Buell, noted for producing sport and performance-oriented bikes. The company became known for innovative chassis engineering, mass-centralized layouts, and for using Harley-Davidson powerplants in many models. Buell was acquired by Harley-Davidson in 2003, ceased production in 2009, and Erik Buell later continued racing and development through Erik Buell Racing.
