Zastava was a Serbian (formerly Yugoslav) vehicle manufacturer based in Kragujevac. Established as an automotive producer in the mid-20th century, it became best known internationally for small, affordable models such as the Yugo. The company built cars under licence from Fiat and played a central role in the region's automotive industry before its automotive operations were restructured and integrated into Fiat-led projects in the 2000s.
