The Ford Cortina is a family car that was produced by Ford of Britain in various guises from 1962 to 1982. It was Ford's mass-market compact car and sold extremely well, becoming the best-selling car in the UK in the 1970s. The Cortina was available in a variety of body styles, including 2-door and 4-door saloons, as well as a 5-door estate and a 3-door panel van.
