The cars combined elegant French coachwork with powerful American V8 engines (notably Chrysler units) and were noted for high performance, bespoke interiors, and striking styling—iconic models include the HK500 and the Facel II. Financial difficulties and changing market conditions led the company to cease car production in 1964, though Facel had earlier built coachwork for other marques and components for the aerospace industry.
