Austin was a British vehicle manufacturer founded by Herbert Austin in 1905, best known for producing small, affordable cars. Its Austin 7 introduced in the 1920s was hugely influential, and the company later merged with Morris to form the British Motor Corporation in 1952. The Austin marque was used across BMC and successor groups and remained on cars through the 1980s.
